The SMART Way Donor Scorecard: defines the characteristics
of prospects most like to become major donors, based on a profile
of your best donors today. The Scorecard complements the classic
profiling information you currently capture, with a qualitative
analysis of your top-tier donors’ motivations for giving to
your institution. The resulting Scorecard provides a guide for MGOs
to identify the pertinent information you and the donor need to
know about one another, in order to justify your MGO’s continuing
investment in winning the donor prospect’s gifts.
SMART Way Pipeline and Forecast Management: Manage
the pipeline by donor behavior. Identify milestones of donor behavior
that signal the donor’s progress from prospect to major gift.
Use these indicators to assess time in pipeline, progress through
pipeline, lag time between stages. Find out how much time your people
