Successful organizations rely on good planning, and on great execution.
In our practice we embrace a performance-based, metrics-driven approach
to strategic planning. Companies that embrace such an approach are
more likely to achieve their goals, and retain motivated and empowered
employees, than organizations that operate on a tactical basis.

Customer Service the SMART Way, Planning the SMART Way is:

We provide several different approaches to strategic planning including:
- Success Planning®, a planning model that utilizes the balanced
performance scorecard approach.
- Hoshin Planning, a planning model that produces strategic breakthroughs
in performance; this is the companion to the Japanese model of
continuous improvement known as “Kaizen,” the basis
for Six Sigma process management.
Our toolkit for Planning the SMART Way also includes the strategic
use of teambuilding elements, communications insights, and organizational
psychology. With such support, we create effective collaboration,
cascade the strategic planning process throughout the organization,
and achieve widespread adoption of the process from top to bottom.
Our planning techniques are backed by decades of academic theory,
executive experience and trained facilitation. All of the facilitators
who deliver BSG planning engagements are principals in their own
consulting practices and senior executives of major corporations.
Planning the SMART Way programs are always customized projects,
designed in collaboration with the client to produce appropriate
outcomes. Typical projects include a combination of day-long and
multi-day intensive sessions, followed by structured schedules of
small group and departmental work, coaching and reinforcement. As
may be appropriate, the BSG team will also interface with the IT
organization to ensure that appropriate performance data is captured
and reported upon.
